What do you prefer CDs, Bios, Pictures — whats the perfect package?
An Email with accurate links to the band. Mail is 50 times slower. The perfect package arrives by email and includes recent show history. Recent show history is very important to us.
Make sure to include links to your myspace, sonicbids EPK and/or web site. And don't forget to include your phone number and an alternate number (another band member, booking agent...whoever), it's amazing how many bands forget to include that little piece of very important information.

My Demo is GREAT! Isn’t that good enough?
No. We listen to demo’s and it’s amazing that so many are good, but only one in twenty bands should be doing business with us. We fully expect that you play your show at other clubs first and create excitment and a fan base so that your show here is a success. If you haven't already built up an over 21 fan base, we may not be the right choice for you.
I played Club Red on a promoter night and did really well. Can I switch to booking with you directly?
Sure, but understand we expect you to work very hard at promoting any shows that we book directly. Way too many bands talk a good game of promotion, but lack follow through and really expect fans to show up by magic. Truth is, getting fans out to shows is hard work! We only work with bands that have a proven record of hard work promoting the shows they play.
We often package festival style genre based shows and so if you did well previously and fit into a show that we are working on, then lets do it.
BTW: it works the other way too, if you have a strong show here at Club Red you will often be approached by promoters for their gigs at our venue or another. It's all good in our opinion, anything that helps build live music and more shows in this town is a good thing!
My band doesn't like selling pre-sale tickets. Can we just get paid for a gig?
Sure, as long as you are good for at least 50-100 paid through the door. We pay a lot of bands with a proven pull to headline and we also do combo deals with both tickets and cash.
We use the pre-sale ticket system to help bands build their pull. We are happy when bands demonstrate that they can pull 100+ on a regular basis. However our experience is that even bands that pull 100+ consistently sometimes choose the pre-sale ticket system (or a combo ticket/cash deal) since the ticket deal is usually more profitable for the band.
Can we bring in Professionals to do a Live Video shoot during our set?
We encourage bands to get high quality recordings of their live shows. These days many festival booking agents want to see (as well as hear) the music. And with both Youtube and Google Video a good promotional video can really help your band reach the next level.
Just contact us in advance so we can work out the details. Don't expect to show up the night of the show with a huge video crew and expect us to accommodate you. These things take some advance planning, so keep us in the loop.
We have a huge 18+ or ALL AGES draw, why won't you book us?
Club Red is usually a 21+ venue, we do have occasional both 18+ and All Age shows. Let us know if the bulk of your draw is 18+ or All Ages and we will try to set you up on one of the All Age shows.
One of our band members is under 21, can we still play there?
Yes! But there are some rules that come straight from the AZ State Liquor Board. Call or email us and we'll go over the rules with you. But the fast answer is that we have have artists as young as 10 entertain our 21+ crowds.
